SignatureCare Emergency Center is proud to announce our first health fair! As a service to the Houston Montrose, Heights, Memorial City, and Bellaire, TX areas, we are hosting a clinic to help your family get ready for back to school!

We are partnering with Texas Children’s Mobile Clinic Program to provide immunizations required for enrollment at a low cost. If your children are due for their vaccines or are behind on their immunizations, Texas Children’s can get them up to date for the state requirements for elementary or middle school enrollment.

We will have two organizers from Easter Seals Greater Houston to help enroll your children into Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP), a low-cost Medicaid government insurance. If they find your son or daughter can get CHIP, your enrollment fee and co-pays will be based on your family’s income.

Enrollment fees are $50 or less per family, per year. Co-pays for doctor visits and prescriptions range from $3 to $5 for lower-income families and $20 to $35 for higher-income families. CHIP covers some to all of the cost of immunizations.

Entrust Urgent Care will have on-site doctors to provide sports physicals at a discounted rate for this event of $35 out of pocket. If you have a Health Savings Account, you can pay for your physicals (and vaccinations) through it to lower or completely cover the cost of services.

There could be additional fees charged by Texas Children’s Hospital Mobile Clinic Program for their services, based on your needs.

We will be passing out FREE school supplies while supplies last, and will have free food, music, games for the kids, and refreshments for everyone. This is your one-stop-shop for getting ready for back to school. Come on out and let us take care of your kids!

FAQs

What information do I need to know about the mobile clinic?
The mobile clinics provide free care to children from newborn to 18 years of age. The clinics are open to the public; children do not have to attend the school where the clinic is parked to receive care. Our clinic is a first come, first served walk-in service. Services and immunizations are limited by staffing, supplies and time. Families are encouraged to arrive early. Children MUST be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. We encourage families to come with all available copies of their immunization/vaccine/shot records.

Do I need an appointment?
No appointments needed.

Do I qualify for CHIP/Medicaid?
Click here to find out if you qualify for CHIP or Medicaid. Please note, sports physicals are out of pocket and not covered by insurance. However, if you have an HSA, you can use that to cover some or all of the cost of the sports physical.

What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?
There are METRORail stations in front of the facility, as well as a large parking lot with plenty of parking. Parking is free.

What can I bring into the event?
Please have your children’s shot records if possible, as access to ImmTrac2 may be spotty.
