SignatureCare Emergency Center is a major sponsor of the 16^th Annual Harker Heights Food, Wine and Bew Festival in Harker Heights, TX.

The event will take place on September 16, 2024 from 2 PM to 7 PM, at the Harker Heights Community Park, located at 1605 Knights Way, east of Harker Heights High School. 

Over 16,000 attended the event last year.

The festival will include live music by Austin, TX-based LC Rocks who will be playing a concert after the festival. That concert is scheduled to start at 7:30 and run until 10 p.m. LC Rocks is an Austin-based cover band that plays rock ‘n’ roll songs from the ’80s. 

“We’re expecting about 5,000 visitors this year, and with the addition of the concert, we could have another 450,” said Harker Heights City Councilwoman Jennifer McCann, who has been involved with the festival since its inception in 2007.

“We were very fortunate and blessed to be able to get this band,” McCann said, noting it is a very popular musical act.

Besides the band, other companies at the event include Crab Cowboyz, Rossler’s Blue Cord Barbecue, Traveling Pint & Pizza and Roni’s Mac Bar. Obsidian Brewery, Waco Ale Company, Piezo Winery and Southern Roots Brewing Company will also be on hand to serve their brews.

“When this festival first started, it was just wine and was called the Central Texas Wine Festival,” McCann said. “We had 600 people attend, and I hand-counted the tickets.”

McCann said that when Gina Pence, the Harker Heights Chamber of Commerce’s former president and CEO joined the Chamber, the festival grew in scope to become the Harker Heights Food, Wine and Brew Fest. 

Other festival sponsors and vendors this year include Smile Doctor Orthodontics and jewelry store Kendra Scott.

“We are so fortunate to have such a supportive Chamber and Chamber board — and a supportive city,” McCann said. “We are truly blessed.”
